Mr Jarrod Homer is a Consultant ENT/Head and Neck Surgeon. He is fully trained in Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) Surgery and has particular expertise in “Head and Neck” Surgery, thyroid surgery, rhinoplasty, voice and snoring.

“Head and neck surgery” is ablative and reconstructive surgery for cancer of the mouth, throat, face and neck; salivary gland surgery, and other surgery for other tumours of the head and neck region. He also has a particular interest in craniofacial surgery for cancers of the anterior and lateral skull base.

He is fully accredited, having trained in Nottingham and Yorkshire and gained FRCS and FRCS in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He received the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in 2001.

He has also a higher research doctorate (MD) after a research training fellowship as a trainee. He underwent a year of sub-specialty training in advanced head and neck surgery at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane, Australia and was appointed Consultant Otolaryngologist-Head and Neck Surgeon to Manchester Royal Infirmary and Christie Hospital in 2002.

He is fully engaged in basic science, translational and clinical research and has published extensively (see Research page for details).

He sees patients privately at Elm House, Withington, Manchester and at the Alexandra Hospital, Cheadle, Cheshire and operates privately at the Alexandra Hospital.
